This fluid is a key component of semen and helps sperm move more efficiently during ejaculation.

In some men, this growth can lead to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which may cause urinary problems such as difficulty urinating or frequent urges to urinate. The prostate can also be affected by inflammation (prostatitis) or cancer, particularly in older men. Regular check-ups and screenings, especially after age 50, are important for early detection of prostate issues and maintaining overall male reproductive health.

Who Can Get Rezūm?

Ideal candidates:

  • Men with moderate to severe BPH symptoms

  • Prostate size between 30–80 grams (some up to 100g)

  • Prefer to avoid long-term medications or surgery

Not ideal for:

  • Prostate cancer patients

  • Men with very large prostates (>100g, usually)

  • Those with active urinary tract infections
